Receive requests and send quotes

Briefly summarized:
Get neat requests from your customers, chat with them and send quick quotes via SMS that they can approve and pay for right away. Save time and eliminate the stress of customer accounts and payments.

When we ask bakeries what they want better tools for, some recurring themes emerge:

  • Take payment from customers who want to order outside the online store.

  • Customers do not send all necessary information when making requests - so there is a back and forth dialogue with the customer afterwards.

  • Time-consuming to send offers to new business customers - which involves sending offers, registering a customer account, creating the order and sending an invoice.

We've launched a new solution that can help with all of this. Here's how it works:

Get complete requests

Have customers fill out all product and delivery questions in advance so you can quickly provide a price.

Easy overview of requests

See an overview of status, dialogue and order information on all requests.

Chat with customers

If you have any questions, simply ask in a chat thread with each customer.

Give a quick price for anything

Price the request or create a quote from scratch. The customer can then confirm and pay.

Examples of use

Handle special order requests

Sometimes customers ask about products that they can't find in the online store. In that case, it's best if you get all the information from the customer right away - about the product, delivery and customer information - so you can quickly give a price and complete the order.

Then you can send a request form to the customer so they can fill out all the information you need.

Here's how it works:

  1. You decide whether the inquiry form should be visible to all customers - or whether you want to send it to customers who contact you.

  2. The customer describes what they want, attaches any inspiration images and when they want delivery.

  3. You can then provide a quick quote, which is sent via email and SMS to the customer.

  4. The customer pays, and voila, you have a fully paid order in the system.

Send offers to companies

Let's say a company contacts you and asks if you can deliver 50 buns and 50 wieners to an event. And the company is not a regular invoice customer. Then you can quickly and easily create an offer for the customer, which they receive via SMS and email. The customer can confirm the offer and pay. You can also let the customer choose how they want it delivered, so you don't have to think about it.

Here's how it works:

  1. Select “Send offer” in admin.

  2. Select or enter the products and set a total price.

    1. Tip! If the customer sent the request via email, you can simply “cut and paste” the text and set a price.

  3. The customer receives the offer via email and SMS, and chooses delivery and payment.

  4. Vipps, you have received a completed order in the system.

This allows the customer to do most of the work themselves, and if you have activated automatic invoicing , you also don't have to send an invoice to the customer.

Get paid from customers who contact you

Sometimes out-of-town customers contact you and want to send a cake to someone. If they don't want to go through the online store, it can often be a bit difficult to collect payment. Then you can simply send them an offer via SMS that they can pay. Just follow the same recipe as above.

Where can I find the solution?

The solution is already in your admin at Cake it easy.

  1. Go to the admin tool .

  2. Go to Orders and select Request and Quote .

  3. There you can choose between sending quotes or sharing the inquiry form with customers.

How do I share the inquiry form?

There are different ways you can share the form with your customers:

1 - Send to customers who contact you

Select “Share Inquiry Form”, copy the link and send it to the customer via email or SMS. This will allow the customer to quickly fill in all the information you need.

2 - Post the link in their channels

Post the link on their website, Facebook page, or Instagram account so all customers can submit inquiries.

3 - Show the link in the online store

Make the inquiry form visible in the online store, in case customers can't find what they want on the online store. It's better for them to ask than to disappear to another place.

If you want to enable this, click the “Share Request Form” button and turn on the link. It will appear at the bottom of the online store.
